The bones of this piece had been plotted in my head for awhile. The multi-layers had to work independently, yet work as one. I think an important element to my work in general, is the sense of mystery. I want you to be surprised in what you are seeing; a feel a sense of unexpected and wonder that comes into play as you look at the piece. I feel it is integral to the sculpture to continually make discoveries within the piece which allow the viewer to find their own visual path.
