Wow! All my pieces are challenges that I set up for myself, but this one was in a large size! The sheer dimensions of the sculpture coupled with the detail involved, the unification of two definitive sides, and the constant construction and remodeling of the interior spaces all brought it to an entirely new plateau.

“The Library” has so many facets. Creating the sculpture and have the audience be involved continually within the piece and then want to climb inside every nook and cranny was challenging.  The goal to allow your eye to wander within the planes of the piece and want to investigate the inner relationships of the piece was daunting. The interaction of materials, color, form, and shape all collaborate to culminate in the texture of this sculpture.

The detail shots of “The Library” allow you to get inside the piece and experience all the varied facets of the interior spaces. They are complex in their construction and thought. Coordinated by color they give strength to the visual movement.
